About 1600 cows died in the USA due to anomalous frosts and blizzards

In Washington, the Federation of Dairy Farmers reports that about 1600 cows have died in the city of Yakima. The cause of the animal pandemic was a severe snowstorm. According to residents of the city, snow in the city falls very rarely.

The death of cows happened due to the fact that most of the barns are not designed for extreme weather conditions and do not have a good heating system. At the moment, farmers are trying to protect animals from the cold by placing hay on them or heating them with improvised means and electric convectors. Also, according to the Federation, although most of the animals died because of frost, some of the dead were killed by the cows that crushed them.
