Agrarians of Buryatia will learn to grow medicinal plants

The opening of the agricultural school of medicinal plant growing in Buryatia was announced at the congress, entitled "Prospects for the development of the medicinal branch of the crop and the training of specialists in the industry."

This event had the format of a strategic session and took place on March 15-16 in Ulan-Ude. In addition to announcing the opening of the first agrarian school in Buryatia on the techniques of growing, processing and collecting food, the session announced the start of work on the creation of the Seed Bank of rare medicinal plants of the Baikal region.

  • The new school has the name "Agro-school-Prof", and is an innovative, practical-oriented knowledge-based learning model. The main direction and form of education is the attendance of agricultural students throughout the season, from buying seed, planting and fertilizing, to collecting, processing and selling medicinal products. The training will take place in a comprehensive manner, which will make it possible for a novice farmer to make a true agricultural specialist capable of effective action at any stage in the cultivation of products.

    The introduction of knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of medicinal plant growing is a process aimed not only at the personal benefit of farmers, but also at creating an interactive base of farmers and investors. This will allow in the future to develop the industry of medicinal products in a favorable Baikal region.
