Residents of villages in the Ukrainian Carpathians oppose deforestation

About the barbaric felling of pine trees in the forests told residents of the village Yablunka that in the Carpathian region. As the residents explain, local forestry is responsible for logging. In two days the farm destroyed about 2 hectares.

Forestry should cut down only rotten, diseased trees, carrying out the so-called sanitary felling. Residents of the village have blocked total deforestation, and in turn, forestry workers assure that there is a usual light forest on the site.

But in the village council Yablonki assure - about the cutting, which was discovered by the activists, did not know anything. Although by law, the leshoz is obliged to report such actions to the authorities.
