When does a hunt usually start?
Puberty in young goats begins from 7-9 months, but they are recommended when females reach 1.5 years. The estrus period most often falls on the period from September to December. An unfertilized female comes into the hunt in the fall every 14–20 days, in the winter and in the early spring every 20–30 days.

The main features of the onset of estrus in goats include:

- mucus is secreted from the genital organs, which is thick and opaque at the beginning of estrus, transparent and liquid in the middle, thick and white at the end.

These include:
- obesity or exhaustion - occurs through improper diet;
- lack of essential vitamins and nutrients in the diet;
- diseases of the genital organs - most often the cause is a congenital anomaly;
- hormonal disorders - occurs as a result of improper metabolism;
- stressful condition - any provocation can be the cause;

What if the goat does not come to hunt
If the reason for the lack of estrus in a female is improper care of a pet and poor nutrition, then this can be eliminated by correcting previous mistakes. But what if these events do not help? It is necessary to seek help from a drug-induced method of inducing a goat hunt, as well as a method without the use of medications. 
Drug method
Thanks to medical drugs, it is possible to improve the stimulation of estrus in ruminants.
Important! Enter any medication is only necessary for the purpose of the veterinarian, and not to do it yourself.
To do this, use:
- estrophan - administered intramuscularly at 0.7 ml twice a day. If nothing starts, repeat the procedure after 10 days;
- ovariovitis - intramuscularly in a dose of 1.5 ml for 1.5 months, it is necessary to introduce according to the scheme;
- ovogen - intramuscularly 2 ml, repeat after 14 days;
- Surfagon - intramuscularly in a dose of 2-3 ml;
- progesterone - 0.01 ml per 1 kg of live weight intramuscularly;
- follygon - intramuscularly 2-3 ml;
- vitamins A, E, trivitamin, tetravit, etc.

Without the use of medications
It is possible to artificially induce hunting in animals without resorting to the help of medicines.
These methods include the following:
- the female is closed along with the male, after which the goat shows signs of estrus;
- In early autumn, goat’s wool is wiped with dried grass to absorb its smell. Then, in early spring, they feed him a goat;
- When buying a female, it is best to take her along with the male;
- to conduct a forced mating, after which fertilization does not always occur, but the hunt comes from the female.

When does goat stimulation be required?
Stimulation of the female is carried out in the following situations:
- in the case when the animal reached puberty, but the hunt never occurred for various reasons;
- when synchronizing a herd when animals are fertilized at the same time;
- when the goat remained unfertilized after mating.
If the goat does not come to the hunt in time, it does not mean that everything is bad and it is necessary to get rid of the female.
